delete your account

the short version

you can delete your account yourself from inside the app, or email us and we'll do it for you. either way we remove your profile, points, and saved items, and anonymize your past orders so we can keep the financial records the law requires. messages you posted stay in place so other people's conversations don't break, but they show as coming from a deleted user instead of your name. deleting your account cannot be undone.

delete it in the app

this is the fastest way and you don't need to wait on us:

1. open the ldft app and sign in
2. go to the account tab
3. scroll to the bottom and tap delete account
4. confirm when we ask you to

your account is deleted right away, and you'll be signed out.

request deletion by email

if you can't get into the app, email us at info@letsdofunthings.org from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. send it from the email you signed up with so we can confirm it's really you. we'll take care of it and let you know once it's done.

what gets deleted

• your account and login
• your profile (name, email, phone number, and any preferences you saved)
• your points balance and earning history
• your saved spots, connect answers, notifications, and other personal activity

what we keep, and why

• past orders and tickets- we keep the records of purchases you made, but we strip your name, email, and phone number off them. we have to hold on to these for tax and accounting reasons. they're no longer linked to you.
• messages you sent to other people- we keep them so the other person's conversation doesn't break, but they show as coming from a deleted user instead of your name.
• a secure identity record - we keep a limited, access-restricted record of the account (name, email, phone) and de-identified transaction history. we hold this only to meet legal and safety obligations and to respond to lawful requests. it is not used to contact you or for anything else.
